What Makes NFTs Significant in the World of Digital Art

The NFT is an example of how crypto technology has creeped into the art world, as it provides proof of ownership over digital arts by way of blockchain. NFT stands for Non-Fungible Tokens, not at all related to cryptocurrencies but to the buying and selling of digital artworks in exchange for fiat money a or cryptocurrency.

The concept of NFT involves the issuance of a certificate of ownership for a particular digital art, by way of a decentralized encryption recording system similar to the cryptocurrency blockchain. The act is called minting, since the certificate of ownership serves as a “token” that will make a digital art unique and rare.

Since digital art can simply be copied and distributed throughout the world wide web, such copies have no, or have little value if sold in the market. The owner of a NFT for that particular digital art can lay claim to owning the original copy, which also gives him or her the right to transfer ownership by selling the NFT token to anyone who is interested.

Why Call the Token Non-Fungible?

The term fungible applies to assets or goods that have a per unit value that can be sold or bought using another type of asset with the same value. A physical art work is a fungible asset and has the quality of being rare in ways that can command an equivalent value when put up for sale in the market, usually in exchange for another fungible asset like fiat money or cryptocurrency.

Currencies are fungible assets because they can be bought and sold interchangeably in foreign exchange markets. The same is true for bitcoins and other types of crypto money, which can be exchanged for fiat money or another type of cryptocurrency at crypto trading platforms.

An item or object is non-fungible if it does not have a specific unit value to use as the basis for an asset exchange, but can be bought or sold using only fiat money. NFTs for digital art therefore give owners of an original copy of the digitally created artwork the ability to transfer ownership but only in exchange for fiat  or digital money.

Without an NFT to show for a copy of the digital art, it will be difficult for the seller to find a willing buyer in the marketplace because there is no proof to show that the seller owns the original and not a mere reproduction. To be clear, the NFT is the asset for sale and not the artwork, because only the original copy is unique. Since it is a non-fungible asset, the token can only be purchased by way of fiat money.

The NFTs of Kings of Leon’s Recently Released Album

The most recent example of a digital asset for which NFTs have been issued is the artwork appearing in the latest album released by Kings of Leon. While the digital art of the album will be produced in millions of copies, only a few will be released with NFTs.

The limited number of NFT albums were available for sale during the first two weeks after the album’s release in March 05, 2021. According to reports, only six NFT albums were released, while 12 were stored in a vault to make the NFT albums distinguishably more valuable than the other reproduced copies.

The six owners of the NFT Kings of Leon albums therefore, can fetch a market value for any one who decides to sell his or her copy along with its NFT .

Identifying Your Art Personality

Whether you admit it or not, art surrounds us. It’s part of our everyday life. Yet, its importance is going to significantly vary from one to the other. There are some who are just not satisfied with the sheer amount of art programs they watched, galleries that they’ve been through, reading biographies of the artists whereas some don’t care at all.

There is literally art in everything whether you are outdoors and enjoying your camper life, you can get inspiration in making new projects. So in this article, we will be focusing on intelligence factors and established personality as determinants of artistic preference, judgment, knowledge and interests.

Artistic Personality

Try picturing a person who is in an art museum or perhaps, pursuing a career or degree in art. Is the image you conjured all about gender, socio-economic status and age or is it leaning more in the artistic personality towards embracing new experiences? Despite the fact that art has played a significant role in the society, psychologists have ignored why some people are more inclined and concerned with art and others are not?

Interest in Art

Another approach to studying art and personality has concentrated on artistic interests or extent of which individuals are engaged in art related activities like:

  • Watching art programs
  • Going to museums
  • Reading art books

According to research, those who are heavily invested in one art domain like for instance, visual arts or fine arts are likely to invest more of their money and time in others like music, theatre, performing arts  and so on.

In regards to art preferences, personality differences underlies on the individual’s art interest appear to be captured by openness to experience. With this in mind, those who are likely to enjoy art works as well as engage in art related patterns. On the other hand, studies are yet to confirm which specific element of openness are actually relevant when it comes to aesthetic interests.

Conceptually, we can expect that fantasy and aesthetics as well as feelings are all facets of this trait. It doesn’t matter what kind of art personality you develop, perhaps in this case, your focus and determination to excel is more important.

Making Art Is Also a Form of Relaxation

Art is an excellent stress reliever. It is not shocking, then, that adult coloring books, for example, have been selling like hotcakes for quite some time. This is a fine art form and the result also creates a lovely whole by painting the black and white sketches. It is not only a relaxing operation, but it also produces a satisfying result quickly.

While many people claim they want to paint or draw, many also do not want to try,  because they feel they are not good at it. However, a new study from Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions found that the relaxing influence of making art can be felt by those who do not have a creative experience. So you think painting or drawing is a relaxing activity, but if you don’t think you’re good enough in doing it, you should put that idea aside for now and try.

The research

Girija Kaimal, an artist and assistant professor, conducted a study with 39 participants. Half of the participants had substantial painting or art-making experience using markers, canvas, clay, and collage materials. Half of the group had no prior knowledge.

The group was given 45 minutes to make something artful without an assignment. Afterwards, the cortisol level, or the stress hormone, was measured. It turned out that this was reduced in 75% of the group. While there was a difference in how much the level had fallen, there was no difference between the people who had experience making art and those who had never done it.

Anyone can be creative

So grab some pencils, paint and scissors and de-stress! Everyone is creative and can express themselves expressively in visual art

Kaimal

It is therefore not important whether you are good at it or have experience with it, it is purely about the activity. Although Kaimal had expected that the effect would be greater for people who had longer experience in making art. Important side note: the researcher indicates that it is important that people should be in an environment that is positively supportive. In addition, your own level of expectation also seems important to us: it is not very relaxing if you want to make something that does not work out as you have in mind.

Over all, be imaginative, prioritize the process above the result, and if you think you can’t – just let go of the obstacle and just start on what you want. It is similar in buying anything you like but don’t have enough money. You can look for coupons and deals online.

The crucial difference between Art and Sport

There is a difference in sport and in art, at least often.

While art is often practiced just for pleasure, there is more often an intention to profit in sport. Money doesn’t always play a role, but it’s about testing your strengths and breaking records when people do sport. Faster, higher, stronger, further, these are things that play a less pronounced role in art. Artistic activity is also practiced when the practitioner does not make any profit, while an athlete usually competes and wants to constantly improve.

Nevertheless, sport and art have a lot in common

If you consider the similarities and differences between sport and art, you have to differentiate, because both activities come from the same source and the same human needs. However, this gives rise to various goals that are in turn similar. A ballerina is often referred to as an artist. She doesn’t win any prizes, she just wants to express her feelings.

The artist’s palette is just as broad: Anyone who buys an easel and swings a paintbrush usually does it for pleasure. But there are also many exceptions who make a lot of money with their talent. Because they want to and because they can. Whatever the ambition In this respect, sport and art are not at all dissimilar. In the end, it depends on how outsiders judge what is done and whether they enjoy the results so much that the actors get recognition and ultimately money for it.

Active or passive: about painters, players, athletes and spectators

Art and sport are both things that you can practice on your own. If a painter is discovered and his works find buyers, making money will mix with pleasure and creative activity will become a source of money. If a sport is discovered and spectators are found, the same phenomenon occurs. Both sides benefit, both active and passive.

This process is constantly evolving and is a sure-fire success. This can be expressed in the fact that the passive part becomes active itself. For example, an art lover could take a painting course, a soccer fan could bet on games and earn money with sports betting. Art and sport, both connect people and create new impulses and opportunities.

The fascination of goals: are they the real secret to the immortal love of football?

Some will never understand why, of all things, football. Someone watches sports on TV: they get stuck with football. Someone starts sports betting online: they are guaranteed to choose football. But why? We found an interesting explanation. It’s the gates! These have an incredibly powerful symbolic power and are also strongly represented in art. They stand for the fact that we can achieve all goals, athletically as well as artistically!

Prior to such suggestions, there were different human body shapes that served as inspirations to the earlier generations of visual artists

The Female Body Form and Its Evolution as Reference for Art Works

Today, modern day artists no longer choose human body forms to use as reference based on what society thinks as the perfect body shape. Visual artists can freely draw, paint or sculpt according to their artistic visualizations. In fact, if one is to ask ordinary non-artist people of what is generally considered today as the perfect female figure, many would likely point to the likes of female celebrities like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and even Kim Kardashian as the epitome of women with perfect bodies.

Yet looking back, artists during ancient civilizations and subsequent eras had different concepts on what was considered as the perfect female human body.

In ancient Egypt, the art works depicted the ideal female shape as one that is slender, has narrow shoulders and small waist. The ancient Greeks and Romans were less mindful of the aesthetic qualities of the female body as the male body form drew more attention. Yet if women were to be regarded as having perfect bodies, it was not for art’s sake but for child-bearing purposes, which made being plump and full-bodied as the best female body form

When the Renaissance movement took place, the practice of artistically depicting the human body in its realistic form, included creating art work that presented the human body in the nude. The concept of realism also meant presenting the female body in its natural form, whilst still carrying on with the concept that for a woman to be regarded as sexually attractive, she must be plump and able to bear her husband many children. Renaissance art was more driven by philosophical views of the environment and its culture.

During the Victorian era in the 1800s, plump women were still desirable; but they should at least appear with cinched waists and wearing cleavage-revealing gowns in social gatherings and as models of arts works

As fashion started to evolve during the 1900s, so did the concept of producing icons who will represent the perfect examples of the female body form. The Golden Era of Hollywood from the 1930s to the 1950s, popularized the hour glass curves, large breasts and naturally small waists, Women must strive to achieve perfect body shape and measurement if they wanted to attract attention and perhaps be discovered as a glamorous Hollywood movie star.

In later years, during the 60s, 80s and 90s, the concepts of perfect female form depended on the kind of profession, career or occupation that a woman was in, or at least aspire to be in. The 60s fashion models were long-legged but thin and flat-chested like a child, while the 1980s introduced super models with toned athletic type bodies that at best still look svelte and sexy.

As a result of these changing concepts, women became conscious of keeping their figures slim at a young age, to avoid becoming plump or at worst obese. However, many women began encountering difficulties in gaining enough mass and flesh due to the rigors of academic work or the demands of their occupation.

One such supplement that is fast becoming popular among women trying to gain weight and develop body mass is apetamin. Although we still recommend consulting first with your physician if it’s the right supplement to take, to make sure there are no underlying health conditions affecting your inability to gain weight.

Research Leads to the Discovery and Return of a Statue Stolen from India

The Mackenzie Art Gallery in Canada returned a statue stolen from an 18th century century shrine in India after an artist unraveled its related circumstances. The statue originated from a shrine located in India over 100 years ago, which the museum acquired in 1936 as part of a collection bequeathed by a benefactor named Norman Mackenzie.

Canadian artist Divya Mehra, discovered the statue’s origins while doing a research of the MacKenzie collection in preparation for her exhibition captioned as “From India to Canada and Back to India.” Through her research she was able to identify the stone statue as the depiction of the Hindu goddess of food, Annapoorna.

Based on the title, it seems that Ms. Mehra already had an inkling that it was the same statue that went missing after a Canadian lawyer named Norman MacKenzie was reported to have looted an active temple during his trip to Varanasi in 1913. However, the lawyer had mistakenly identified the statue as the god Vishnu and not Annapoorna.

According to Mehra, the adventure of Indiana Jones were based on the stories told by Edgar James Banks, who turned out to be a close friend of the lawyer-art collector Norman MacKenzie.

In 1936 MacKenzie died leaving a last will and testament, which included bequeathing his art collection to the University of Regina. The university in turn built the MacKenzie Art Gallery to house the collection, among them the stolen stone statue mislabeled as an image of Vishnu. .

The Statue’s Repatriation to India

In light of Ms. Mehra’s discovery, the art museum through the University of Regina will be returning the statue of Annaporna back to India at an unspecified future date in light of the still ongoing global pandemic. Still, a virtual repatriation ceremony was held last November 19, 2020 as the university underscored the importance of doing what is right to correct historical wrongs in order to take part in undoing the harmful consequences of colonialism.

To show her appreciation of the university’s cooperation in returning the stolen statue to India, Ms. Mehra offered the Mckenzie Art Gallery one of her sculptures as replacement for the returned statue The donated piece is among the sculptures in exhibit at the MacKenzie Art Gallery museum received a sculpture by Mehra that is included in her exhibition as a replacement, where her concept made use of a scene from an Raiders of the Lost Ark; the part where Indiana Jones stole a golden idol by replacing its weight with a bag of sand.

In a statement of John Hampton, the museum’s acting chief executive said that in light of Ms. Mehra’s discovery, they have started to conduct a research on all the other art works included in MacKenzie’s collection. So far a few of those examined are also due for repatriation. Mr. Hampton gave a promise that the museum will do everything in its power to return art works that have been acquired through improper means.

The absolute most significant issue is, to begin with, the ideal merchandise. Simply utilize cosmetic grade products that comply with your state’s regulations. In the United States, we recommend using only FDA compliant face cubes. Can Acrylics Be Safe to Used For Face Painting?

No, acrylic craft paints aren’t secure for body and face painting and need to be prevented. Acrylic paints include lots of pigments that aren’t supposed to be used in skin and can result in considerable irritations. We can not post those pictures here since we do not have the copyrights.

We know acrylics could be more economical and simpler to find at almost any craft shop, but more economical and easily available will not make them secure. If you would like to prevent giving somebody an allergic reaction that could end poorly, then adhere to decorative grade solutions.

When in doubt, it’s ideal to perform a patch test to the inner portion of your elbow, then paint just a small bit, allow it to sit for half an hour, and wash off it. If the skin appears fine then odds are you will not have an allergic response. In case you have life-threatening allergic reactions it may be best to talk to a physician first.

2 – KEEP YOUR TOOLS CLEAN

You can acquire the very best goods on the planet but if you do not maintain your program resources (face painting brushes and sponges) tidy, then it will not matter.

We strongly suggest that you simply utilize one nozzle per individual, and when at all possible, just load the cosmetics after, and therefore that you don’t have any odds of carrying any germs from the face in your makeup. Though great face paints have many anti-fungal properties to decrease the odds of contamination, so it’s ideal to steer clear of double loading as soon as possible.

When using brushes, then attempt and only wash your brush after, and then you can wash your brush with water, then soak it in 70 percent alcohol and allow it to completely dry before the next use.

Though that’s the greatest hygiene guideline, many painters may use the 1 sponge per individual rule but nevertheless fill their sponge several times if needed. And when utilizing brushes they’ll use exactly the exact identical brush with each individual, however, they generally wash it quite nicely in between every individual. We don’t advocate speed drying out your paints by placing them in a microwave, which might ruin them. Rather look at using a food dehydrator, or placing your cakes close to a room heater or above a bed of rice (minus the cosmetics touching the corn), so the excess moisture may evaporate or be consumed.

Craft glitter is economical but it can be quite harmful when applied close to the eyes. Why do you ask? As it’s made of metal, which can be eloquent, and it isn’t typically cut in a manner that averts sharp corners.

Cosmetic quality glitter is made of natural or polyester resins, and it’s cut in certain shapes and dimensions to allow it to be secure for use around the face area.

Additionally, cosmetic grade wracking utilizes just safe pigments.

Water Color Tray

So now I am going to discuss how I discovered that an income stream that does not just affirm the expense of creating and advertising artwork, but also adds to my standing, builds my new, and enhances my abilities as an artist in the procedure.

This magical key for my own success? Educating art online. Here is how I’ve started:

My easy YouTube artwork lesson

Back in 2011, I uploaded a movie to YouTube, demonstrating a favorite watercolor technique. Frankly, that movie was nothing in particular… filmed at an awkward angle, even on an inexpensive camera while kids interrupted with lively background sound, it couldn’t compete with the experts who were running art-themed stations.

But, people appeared to react to my fashion of show-and-tell technique demonstrations, and following a couple of months, I monetized my station, which contained no less than a dozen movies. In 6 months I had been making $100 a month in advertising revenue, a welcome paycheck for almost any struggling artist.

Seeing my YouTube perspectives & subscriptions increase as audiences gobbled up the totally free articles, I started considering assembling a structured path, something that I really could charge money for this would allow me to interact more directly with pupils.

I began exploring online learning websites and started a brief watercolor class on a website that had some artwork related classes. They paid me a commission every registration and raised the commission for pupils coming straight out of my referrals.

It was exciting watching registration increase and inspiring to realize I was finally beginning to earn a living within my artwork.

Fast forward a few years

I’ve seven watercolor classes, varying in cost from free to $99, and more than 3000 students from all around the world enrolled. I am growing my sway as a “watercolor specialist,” getting questions on instructing workshops in various parts of North America, selling more artwork, and viewing opportunities all around the area.

What is more, since I develop new classes, studying better means of displaying and describing watercolor methods, I develop as an artist, so strengthening my own abilities and comprehension of artistic strategy and concept.

Even when teaching artwork is not for you, I believe the main takeaway in my experience is that as performers, we will need to become actively raising our professions, looking always for ways to utilize our online culture to advertise our work and market our artwork.

The world wide web and social websites are constantly shifting, and everything worked last year will not necessarily work now. A lot of research has revealed that tyrosine encourages “deep” thinking as well as touches into the abstract thoughts. Hence, if you find yourself stuck and uninspired, eat some seaweed chips or sushi to fuel your creativity.
  • AVOCADO. So as to boost creativity, the brain needs constant and sufficient flow of blood and glucose. Avocados help improve blood flow as well as transport oxygen to the brain. Moreover, they are an excellent source of fiber that helps lessen hunger.
  • BERRIES. Berries contain tyrosine which help in driving creativity. Moreover, it helps in and help activating the brain-derived neurotrophic factor which aid in the differentiation, growth, and survival of new neurons that is necessary in terms of creative thinking.
  • GREEN TEA. Green tea has theanine, an essential amino acid. It aids in improving cognition as well as decreases stress by boosting the production of the brain’s alpha waves. These waves slowly release caffeine, to avoid abrupt crash and sustain creativity and productivity.
  • DARK CHOCOLATE. Flavanols which is a nutrient in chocolate, help increase flow of blood to the brain through dilating vessels. Dark chocolate also contains the right quantity of caffeine and magnesium that aids in reducing stress as it promotes the release of “happy hormones.” Nibble on some dark chocolate to get your creative juices running.

Why Da Vinci’s Giant Crossbow was Never Built at All

While many know Leonardo Da Vinci as the Italian painter of iconic artworks like the “Monalisa” and “The Last Supper,” he is also well-known as an inventor. Recognized as a man of many interests, his concepts and designs for contraptions and equipment were way ahead of his time. In this article, our focus is on one of Da Vinci’s famous sketch plans for building a giant crossbow. It reflects not only Da Vinci’s work as a modern engineer but also as a genius caught between the world of art and military conflict.

Crossbows are said to have been invented in China in as early as the 5th century, during the country’s tumultuous “Warring States” era. The weapon later became the most important armament in Europe during medieval times until fire arms and gunpowder became the most favored weapon in battlefields.

What Drove Da Vinci to Make Plans for a Giant Crossbow

During his lifetime as an artist and an inventor in Italy, Da Vinci moved in a world where cities were independent states led by wealthy aristocrats. As head of such states, they coveted ownership of neighboring lands as a means to have greater wealth and power.

One way they could wield advantage over other territories is by having greater military power, for which they commissioned talented engineers and artisans to build the most destructive war machines possible.

One such talent was Leonardo Da Vinci, who in 1486 was hired by an Italian prince named Ludovico Sforza, who had plans to expand his sovereignty in the Milan region. Although Da Vinci responded to the request by presenting a sketch of a giant crossbow, which at that time was called “ballista” by Italians, it remained just a plan.

.The Italian prince was largely interested. As Da Vinci had described it, the giant crossbow will have such great propulsion it will be able to launch larger objects that can cause destruction at the highest level. Yet, as many historians had discovered, Da Vinci was a man who valued life more than anything else. Academicians widely surmised he had intentionally sabotaged the sketch plans for the giant crossbow, by deliberately making basic calculation errors that any skilled mathematician is not likely to overlook.
.
Apparently, Da Vinci’s giant crossbow was not actually designed to cause the most damage but only to impress a great degree of intimidation. Word had spread that Da Vinci’s giant crossbow will propel huge balls of flames and giant boulders and not arrows. The mere though of battling against an enormous war machine was enough to sow fear and terror, it made Storza’s enemies think twice before challenging him in a battle.

Actually, Da Vinci’s giant crossbow worked, but only as a psychological weapon as it was never built at all; even as modern day engineers tried to do so.

Art Challenges and Possible Solutions for it

Have you tried drawing a picture and felt that you failed miserably in getting it right? Well what about painting a picture but have used too much paint than usual? As we carry on this article, we will be exploring the common challenges that are encountered when working on visual arts and also, the possible ways on how to fix them.

Challenges in Drawing

Drawing may look straightforward but it is actually harder than how it looks. This is basically a process that is using tools similar to pens or pencil to be able to leave marks on a canvass such as paper. Let us say that you are drawing a certain image with a pencil, but it is too light and does not have dark shadows you are trying to achieve. You may try a different pencil such as 2B, 3B or even 6B whereas every number is darker than the last.

These basically have softer leads so they are sure to leave a darker mark on the canvass. But does it still not satisfy your expectations? Then try a different medium instead similar to charcoal which creates a rich and dark line.

How about you have lines that are too dark? In such case there’s a chance that you are pressing too hard. So better use less pressure on your pencil and let your hand move freely.

Challenges in Painting

Artists do encounter some challenges when they are painting and every paint medium possesses unique challenges. When painting, it does help to better understand the medium that you are using. For example, watercolor is transparent and water-soluble. You could apply it in dry or thin washes, brushy lines but, you cannot rework it by the time it is on paper.

Oil paint on the other hand is not water soluble and slowly dry. It could be reworked for longer period of time and is perfect for blending and thick paint applications. Thing is, you cannot rinse brushes with water and it may not be the ideal choice when making quick sketches. By knowing the medium you are using, it is going to help you find out the proper attack you can do to your work.

Then once everything is set and done, get the help of a professional link building service to market your artwork and get funding for your next projects.

Museum Photography : Dealing with the Challenges Posed by Delicate Environments

Museums are usually strict on visitor photography; yet relationships between museums and professional photographers exist if in terms of museum photography. Museum photography is different because shots will be taken in a delicate environment Not unless it involves producing photographs for museum exhibition purposes.

When used as a method for documenting museum collections as well as promotions, museum photography facilitates archiving of historical, archaeological, anthropological or scientific objects, to be stored as supporting documents of artefacts, events and stories of museum exhibits.

In both cases, museum photographers share some tips on what to consider when taking photographs. The quality of the images rely not only on using the best photography cameras but also on the approaches used in taking shots of rare and delicate articles or special editions placed in dimly lit environments; whilst restricted from using flash and other photography equipment. Some museum artefacts tend to deteriorate overtime; rapidly at that if they are constantly exposed to bright lights.

Important Pointers for Museum Photography

Museums are confident that a professional photographer will use methodological approaches that conform to the limitations of the environment. Thankfully, advancements in digital technologies have enabled photographers to develop ways of working on modern and historical materials.

Dealing with Low Light

Use a camera with a large aperture, i.e. (f/2.8 – f/4), a fast shutter speed and push the ISO by up to 400 at the least. Doing so will allow an adequate amount of light in. Some artefacts displayed inside glass encasements have even dimmer lights as a way of minimizing reflective light. In such cases, set the ISO to 1600 to improve the lighting.

However, even if your camera offers a higher ISO, setting it too high can make the captured image look grainier.

Avoiding Glass Reflections

Rare artefacts and valuable paintings are often enclosed behind glass, which automatically eliminates the use of flash as a way to avoid glass reflection. One effective approach is to carefully push the lens right next to the glass without any gap in-between but do this only if permitted. If not, use a polarizing filter to reduce reflections.

Be Meticulous with the Details

If there is one thing that makes museum photographers stand out, it is their attention to details but without losing the drama of the story behind the object. If getting close to the artefact or precious object is allowed, use a macro lens as this can pick out details with precision. Still, when shooting from a distance use a zoom lens, especially on facial features, because you need to emphasize life behind the model who posed for the image.

If use of flash is not allowed, set the shutter speed to 1/60th of a second or even slower; but make sure to use a large aperture (f/1.8 – f/4).

Lastly, don’t forget to take shots of the museum’s indoor and outdoor architecture since they can help set the mood of the museum photography, especially if for promotional purposes. Most museums have incredibly ornate designs, they are art works by themselves.

Although museums do not prohibit visitor photography, they impose certain restrictions on who to allow, where and what can be photographed. After all, photographs taken by visitors also serve as promotions, knowing that selfie takers inside museums are likely to circulate their photos online across different social media sites.

Screw Artist Andrew Myers – A Blind Man’s Artist

Through the years, art has been evolving; and many artists driven by the desire to be creatively unique, now enhance their artworks with multisensory components. Andrew Myers, one of the early proponents of multisensory art, invented Screw Art, which are paintings that can be enjoyed not only by the sighted, but by blind visitors as well.

As the art world is now seeing the development of multisensory art museums and art institutes have been exhibiting the screw paintings of Andrew Myers. In a Cantor Art interview, Myers said:

”For me, it is not enough to paint a beautiful figure … or to have the perfect thought to express a feeling.” “In my opinion, an artist is successful if he or she can express a feeling that can make someone think.”

Myers recalled that when his Screw Art first went on exhibit, one of his fondest memories is when he observed a blind man ran his hands over a huge 3-D portrait on which Andrew had spent hundreds of hours adding thousands of pieces of painted screws. Myers said he watched as the man’s blank expression broke into a warm smile, because to Myers, the smile meant the blind man had felt something that other visitors can only see.

What Inspired Andrew Myers to Invent and Develop Screw Art?

Actually, Andrew Myers said he invented Screw Art in 2008, out of necessity. It was the year of the financial crisis when people had stopped buying art. As he was trying to focus on new ideas, he realized that the art market is already full of great painters and sculptors, as well as thinkers. That was when he decided to go forward in his chosen career by becoming all three at the same time.

Since then, Andrew has been making visually appealing paintings, to which he adds a 3D effect by putting in painted screws to complete every artwork. For more than 15 years now, his works can be seen as a collection in art institutions throughout the world, while constantly being featured in major art exhibits.

The Art of Macrame is Making a Comeback

People love working with their hands. This ancient art of Macrame is once again gaining popularity nowadays. Macrame is a form of art wherein one makes use of knots to create useful creations. Many come out with brilliant ideas using this style. One can create beautiful products like plant hangers, wall decors, table runners, key chains, and even clothing. What’s interesting is this technique uses inexpensive materials that are easy to find. The common materials used in this art are abaca, jute, cotton twine, hemp, silk or yarn. To enhance this creation they add accents like glass, colorful beads and buttons. To make them more stunning some use dyed threads to come up with a wide range of creative products.

The Art of Macramé

Macramé’s origin is very interesting. Its history goes back thousands of years back. Some historians believe that the name originated from the Arabic word “Migramah“, which means fringe or an embroidered veil. But some believe it came from the Turkish word “Makarama” which means towel or a napkin.

During the the ancient Babylonians and Assyrians, Macrame was widely used. They use this style to beautify their clothing. Arabian weavers during the 13th century make beautiful knots on the excess thread on shawls, veils, and towels. This technique eventually reached Europe from North Africa.

Back in England Macramé reached its peak popularity during the Victorian era. Introduced to England in the late 17th century. The Queen of England even conducted tutorials about Macrame to her maid-in-waiting. Almost all Victorian homes during this time had macramé decoration. Used not only as decorations but as curtains, tablecloths and bedsheets. Sailors were responsible for bringing macramé around the world. When they were at sea, this was a way to keep them busy and pass time. When they docked, they bartered or sold these creations such as hammocks and belts.  The bartered products eventually spread to countries like China and America.
For some time Macrame faded in popularity but again became a craze in the 1970s. Macrame brought about the Bohemian style during this decade. This craft became popular introducing new styles and designs. The end products had been popular gifts to people. To read more about popular gift we can give a lady visit: https://www.youreviewit.com/gifts/girls/best-gifts-for-19-year-old-girls/

This time, Macrame is once again back. This technique is widely used by both the young and old. Ideas come up with new patterns that have reinvigorated the ancient knotting techniques.

Art with Music For A Good Portfolio

The portfolio presentation might focus on subjects that are free, or on a single topic. But there is some thread running. We learn about a single painting and we detect the piece from the explicit in a second.

By means of comparison, our appreciation of this art portfolio presentation is diluted if there is disparity that is thematic, or if there is an inadequate concentration of subject material. What is the effect of a photo set featuring three butterfly closeups along with three shots of houses? It is one of diminishing impact. It is as if we are currently trying to tell two stories – one about darkness and one about light – . Our engagement with this set is bifurcated. The pieces are valued less and the entire experience is ambiguous.

Even the portfolio that is selected is not necessarily an easy nut to crack. This is where magic can be worked by an element concerning improving appreciation and the experience of this art collection. By way of instance, in art, where we lack for images or patterns, a story can be suggested by music. It is not the subwoofer from https://mybestsubwoofer.com/best-subwoofers-under-300/  but the composer’s take on the set. We will not see or sense that the job in the same manner as likely as not. But we are challenged, triggered, into researching our unique reaction, into inventing our purposeful narrative.

Music can improve the experience of art portfolio by referencing a period in history, a genre, a vacation season set. Softly wolf and ghosts cries add color to some Transylvania landscapes that are misty. Caroling and sleigh-bells contribute soul. Tympani shots and snares such as cannon bursts animate the art retrospective. A dreamy guitar takes us back to the 1960’s for the stone art review.

Chosen music, obviously, can be nothing but an unwelcome distraction, an intrusion. At best, the audio may indicate a common element or a story for the portfolio set. The audio functions to stir memories and associations related to the portfolio that is visual, or may establish context for the presentation.

Towing and Arts: Masterpiece of Porsche 911

Art Cars

Not everyone is an equally popular concept. With me. I love it, the more colorful the better. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I came Porsche, Sports Car, Painted, Oriental Stylethe news that two classic Porsche 911 art cars are going to be towing sanjose and to be auctioned. I was very impressed by the cars and I started looking for the story behind these cars. It turns out to be a project by one Alain Authier. Living in beautiful and also French-speaking Quebec (Canada), this man saw the perfect “canvas” in the iconic shape of the 911.

Porsche Art Cars Project

Well, at first Alain didn’t have the idea of making art cars at all. No, he was annoyed with his deadly boringly designed coffee machine and therefore asked artist Claude Le Sauteur if he did not want to paint it. Claude was clear: “I have better things to do dude!”. But Alain could not be caught for one hole and later came back with a new idea: “A classic Porsche 911 then?”. And so it happened. Masterpiece I was born in 2006. This will eventually lead to a project with the aim of creating a total of 8 nine-elves. A different artist from Canada will create a design for each car. These designs are then applied to the Porsches (all of the G-series, classic driving test) by the skilled hands of Yves Thibault. Absolute craftsmanship, knowing that Yves has to apply the 2D designs of the artists on a 3D surface. Also, remember that this is not a wrap that comes out of a printer. The Porsches actually enter the spray booth and are provided with an eternally permanent work of art. Even the Porsche emblem on the wheels cannot escape it.

Masterpiece I

This Porsche 911S is therefore designed by Claude Le Sauteur and in my opinion immediately the most beautiful. Claude Le Sauteur, who died in 2007, was an artist who started out as a freelance graphic designer and eventually progressed to become the director of a large marketing company. He was so satisfied with the end result that he still painted Alain’s coffee machine. Had Alain still succeeded! And he, in turn, was also delighted with the end result that he decided that this should be followed.

Masterpiece II

According to the website on this project, there should be eight Masterpieces by the end of 2015. Today, now 2016, the counter is on four copies. A fifth copy should be under construction, with Marc Séguin as the designer. This artist is in an area where some will wonder what the best man is thinking. It is not quite my street either. Still, I hope the project did not die a silent death. That’s why I emailed Alain to ask about the flag.

Art on Post Stamps

Founded in 1840 as prepayment for postage in 1840, that the postage stamp has been the initial use, on a mass scale, of printed artworks. Serving as signifiers the post stamps represented people’s soul and recorded when sending mail in the post office.

Throughout history, countless photos paintings, busts, and sculptures have been featured on stamp stamps that were American. Although using a number of the country’s best works to honor subjects that are American that are significant, but they have a space in which they may get the job done.

  1. Back in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt devised The Four Freedoms, differentiating them as freedom of expression and speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. Norman Rockwell, an American writer, and illustrator famous for his favorite depictions of American civilization reinterpreted The Four Freedoms for The Saturday Evening Post in 1943 together with, which emerged alongside essays by renowned members of the afternoon. In later decades, the paintings lacked the nation.

2. A famous American artist, Alexander Calder is famous for his works, which evolved from simple kinetic sculptures powered by minor air currents to more complicated structures that involved little motors. Transferring in a different direction, he switched to structures of sheet metal. His work contained book illustrations arts, stage designs, and jewelry.

3. A commemorative issue of journal committed to four decades of the artwork contained a set of 20 stamps. It Features Portrait of Richard Mather by John Foster, Mrs. Elizabeth Freake and Baby Mary by The Freake Limner, Girl in Red Dress with Cat and Dog by Ammi Philips, Rubens Peale with a Geranium by Rembrandt Peale, Long-billed Curlew, Numenius Longrostris by John James Audubon, Boatman on Missouri by George Caleb Bingham, Kindred Spirits by Asher B. Durand, The Westwood Children by Joshua Johnson, Literature and Music by William Harnett, The Fog Warning by Winslow Homer, Rothko, etc.

4. Among the most talented sculptors of the 20th century, Louise Nevelson introduced a new sort of sculpture that consisted of recycled, stained, and painted wood items organized in boxes to make whole sculptural walls. The themes in her work include her feelings when she needed to leave the Soviet Union and proceed to America, the civilizations, and the magnificence of nature.

Works of art, postage stamps depicting artwork have become just another looking glass within its topics and this nation. Designers face an exceptional challenge when replicating American artwork on stamp stamps.

Your Next Art Project: Wood Carving

In the era of network technology and mass production of molded products, it is worth using our own hands to create exemplary work from natural materials, and as a medium for personal expression. Molding wood with hand tools, hitting large pieces with a hammer and planing with a chisel, and cautiously rounding the model using a chisel and working with hand-polished lacquer are all exceptional.

Basic Wood Carving Tutorial

You can enjoy wood carving at all levels, from wooden sticks or pine boards obtained with knives to fully carved shops with many chisels and power tools. You can get a quick intro to wood carving from the Sculpture Studio. They outline the engraving process and include common wood types, tools, some engraving instructions, and finishing techniques. Although the online tutorials are not exhaustive, the site aims to give plenty of information and support so that novices can use their passion to start carving their first creations.

Wood Types for Carving

Deciding on the right wood for your carving project is determined by various factors. You will have to determine if the wood is soft so that it is easily cut using a carving knife (or does it require a chisel and a hammer instead)? Does this piece have an all-natural finish that reveals the color and texture of wood?

Some sculptors will choose wooden sticks or logs with interesting shapes. Freshly cut logs are still full of moisture which may cause problems. Conversely, if the log dries off too soon, it may easily break or crack badly. It is advisable to air dry the log for some time until it finally gets to an acceptable moisture level to avoid unwanted breaking.

Another option is to buy kiln-dried wood cut into boards. If a large piece is required, the wood can be milled with a planer and combiner to obtain a flat surface that can be glued together. The advantage of bonding is that, unlike the limited log shape, it can form a large and unique shape.

ass wood is an excellent choice for carving small portable crafts (such as duck or water bird bait, figures, or chips). It is soft and easy to sculpt. It sculpts small pieces into grains with few knots or blemishes and is stable when dry. However, basswood is soft and highly absorbent, so it is difficult to apply stains evenly to the carved surface or make it have a smooth surface effect. Most bass woodworks are painted.

For sculptures with natural wood finishes, walnut, mahogany, cherry or walnut can provide rich colors and attractive texture patterns. Walnuts are very soft and easiest to sculpt with hand tools. Walnuts, mahogany, and cherries are rich in color and difficult to carve, but they are well-made and worth the effort. This solid forest needs planing and hammering.

Essential Wood carving tools

Wood carving can be as simple or complex as you need for your project and can depend on the sculptor’s wishes. You can do a small amount of work on a small piece of base wood with just a chip carving knife. Adding chisels increases the chances of sculpting.

Power tools intended for carving like the flexible-shaft can certainly help quicken the carving method and create results that you can not obtain with hand tools only. Huge power tools, like a band saw, ridgid orbital sander, belt sander, the drill press, and the chain saw, all of these will fill a woodcarver’s workshop.

Proper Transport of Artwork

Nowadays, art is not only understood as a pure commodity but is also an emotional and aesthetic expression for collectors, which also defines the artist himself. Therefore, the acquired work of art should not only be carefully preserved but also be properly transported.

Transportation of Delicate Art

If a work of art is going to be transported, considering that it had been stored for a long time, the canvas should be left in the frame so that the desired stability is maintained. A rolled canvas will crack more quickly. The same applies to the canvas if the support frame is removed since the tension is lost and the paint layer changes again.

Every transport is therefore always a burden for the art object, not only with regard to the mechanical impairments but also due to the vibration of the canvas when worn and repositioned or the climatic changes.

A painting can initially be leaned upright against the wall and secured with cardboard or polystyrene. This also applies to the storage of several works of art that have to be separated from each other and should have a safe stand so that they do not tip over. During transport, e.g. B. with a vehicle, an expensive painting should always be placed in the direction of travel, since the vibration of the canvas is less.

Cardboard, wood, and polystyrene are high-quality packaging materials. Plastic is not so good because this material blocks the air supply required for the artwork. Oil paintings in particular require the airflow and must be able to breathe so that the material movement in the picture can take place under normal conditions. If there is no air supply, a canvas can also become damp more quickly, form condensation, or even become moldy.

Moisture-storing materials are very good, including untreated fabrics such as cotton or normal wool, on which pictures can be placed or separated. However, these should not be wrapped directly around the picture during transport, as this creates greater friction on the paint layers. It is better to use wrapping paper or a bubble wrap, with the latter the air pockets should not be inside but outside.

If the artwork is being transported, the climatic conditions should be similar to the previous home or structure from which it was hanging. A specific time of day is then chosen for the transport, although the transport route should not be too long in the best case.

If it is necessary to remove and roll the painting from the frame due to lack of space, the picture surface should always point outwards so that the motif and the painted side are visible. Covering with textiles is very good to protect the surface. The roll is then placed in a wooden box or box and protected from impact and mechanical effects. These should always be slightly larger than the rolled canvas and offer enough space without the canvas rumbling back and forth. The storage of several frameless canvases without a roll is a little better, but as a careful and flat stacking with an intermediate insert. Cotton, styrofoam or cardboard are also suitable here.

It’s always best to contact a professional removalist to ensure the safety of your work of art. Sydney removalist could offer you help and ensure safety during transport.
