How to Heal Yourself and Others

Everything has a yin and yang, or two opposing energies. The yin represents the negative or passive force, whereas the yang represents the positive or active force. The yin has often been associated with darkness and the yang with brightness. However, there are times when the darkness of life’s ups and downs becomes too much to bear.

There’s no denying that some people are more capable of self-healing than others. They allow this to happen by opening their thoughts and bodies. They also have innate or learned tools that have previously served them well. We recognize healers when we encounter them because we feel good in their presence.

You probably know whether you are one of those folks, but you might also recognize a healer like you know. There are numerous different types of healers who practice in diverse fields. Here are some suggestions for healing yourself and others, bearing in mind that you cannot cure others unless you first heal yourself.

Self-Healing

If you have an intuitive feeling that you are a healer, or if someone has told you that you are, you must trust your skills and use them carefully. This entails accepting yourself on physical, physiological, and spiritual levels. It also entails treating oneself with kindness, gentleness, and support, just as you would a loved one in need. In many ways, our bodies assist us in self-healing. For example, if you drink too much alcohol, you may wake up with a headache and decide to rest. If you eat unhealthy foods, you may experience stomach issues and prefer to sip tea or eat chicken soup.

Self-Healing Techniques

Grounding meditation is one approach to healing yourself. Begin by comfortably placing your feet on the ground or the floor. Take three deep breaths and expel any bad energy with each one. Pay attention to the soles of your feet. Consider the enormous roots stretching six or eight feet from your feet into the Earth. Consider your spine sinking deep into the Earth. Feel the magnetic pull of gravity emanating from the core of the Earth. Inhale three times. Hold your breath for four counts before exhaling. This pattern should be repeated three times. Open your eyes when you’re ready.

Try resonant breathing.

Lie on your back and take six deep breaths in and six deep breaths out. Change your breathing pattern when you feel calm by breathing in through your nose and filling your diaphragm and chest with air. After then, breathe through your mouth. Repeat this for 5 to 10 minutes. You might notice a shift in your consciousness. Keep a journal to record your thoughts.

Create a regular journaling routine.

Begin with 15 to 20 minutes and gradually increase as needed. Journaling helps you become more self-aware while also tapping into your subconscious mind.

You could also try inner visualization.

Concentrate on a troublesome spot, then imagine radiating energy outward from that location and attracting the universe’s energy to that location. Consider how the problem area would feel if it were better and healed. Take a bath in that experience. If you’re a healer, people may come to you when they’re in distress. You may feel compelled to reach out to others who do not readily seek assistance. You can also do the above exercises with individuals who are in need. Here are some more pointers:

  • Choose a sacred and safe place to meet. These people should be able to speak openly with you, sharing any information they feel comfortable giving. It is critical to establish confidence.
  • Request that the individual get comfortable by sitting on a chair or lying down in a safe location.

Prepare to undertake a grounding exercise by connecting to an imaginary cord within the Earth’s core. Next, visualize a bright, white light entering from the top of your head and traveling down your body. Deep inhale and exhale, feeling the tremendous light energy feel the energy flowing through you, and concentrate on it.

Some healers energize their hands by bringing their palms together to feel the energy. The healers then wrap their hands around the person, picking up the healing power. Whether you are self-healing or helping others, the experience can be incredibly transformational. You may also have a sublime experience in which you reach depths of solitude and connectivity you have never known. Have fun on your adventure!
